Who We Are

We are a group of students working on a project with the objective of discovering new ways of enjoying the city of Porto.

bMy name is Joana Gomes and I’m 21 years old. I was born here, in the centre of Porto,
and, later on I studied in London and even though I loved it I can tell you that there is nothing like my city.

I choose this topic to work on because while I studied abroad I realized how Porto plays an essential role in my life and how dynamic it is.

There’s always something knew to discover here, so go ahead and join us in this adventure.

Hi! My name is Ricardo Pereira and I am from Caminha, Viana do Castelo. Currently I’m living in this big city called “Invicta”. Living in Porto has been a great experience. It’s my first time away from my parent’s house, so it’s a little hard, because I need to cook for myself, but overall it has been great!

I am a drummer and music is my biggest passion, but I’m also interested in watching movies, go to music concerts, collect vintage things, follow cultural traditions and collect sunsets while drinking beer with a good view.

Even though this city has won several tourism awards, in my opinion there are still more things to work on so that we can improve in the city, but also in order to protect its own culture.

My name is Alexandre Martins, I’m 25 and I’m from Estarreja, Aveiro. I am studying languages in the city of Porto. I like to read, watch movies and  I am also very interested in history and different cultures.

When I came to Porto to study I started to walk through the streets of the city and instantly fell in love with them. I think this is a very beatiful and charming city.

The reason why I chose this topic is because I want to find out if the locals and the tourist can coexist in a way that benefits both parties and the city itself.

I’m Tainá and I´ve decided to join this group because I love the tourism area and I work in it. It´s a great area for those who are passionate about it because for those who are not, it´s a really hard life (you barely have time for anything)

I consider this topic a very interesting one, because there are a lot of different types of tourism that a lot of people never heard of.

I hope you like it and that you share your experience with us!
